These figures just confirm the worst prejud...Urgh. These figures just confirm the worst prejudices (though I suppose this means they're not prejudices; they're firmly evidence-based!) about Northern Ireland people being parochial and (technologically, but not <EM>just</EM> technologically) backward. Who in their right mind thinks Radio Ulster produces better programming than its two rough equivalents on the network, Radios 2 and 4? We all want to get a touch of local news and information (my source is more likely to be the Belfast Telegraph or the NI pages of the BBC News site), but to make that your main source of cultural intake is just ignorant. Then again, I'm a firm subscriber to Frank Skinner's view that you could replace the word "local" with the word "crap" in any sentence and it would still make sense.<BR/><BR/>Now, anyone for Family For-...
