
And in the hot weather, Belfast workers tend to congregate on the benches and grass to munch their sandwiches and soak in a little sunshine before heading back to the afternoon grindstone.

To quote the Lord Mayor Pat McCarthy:
"The City Hall belongs to the people of Belfast - all the people of Belfast - and the centenary events have been designed to show the building off to the people who own it."And if you can't make it along - or the rain puts you off - you can monitor the floods (sic) of people pouring through the gates on the City Hall webcam.
