TV - what's Tivoable, and what's not

• Spooks was breathtaking … right up to the end of the last episode.
• Torchwood is good, but only alternate episodes.
• It’s been fun to rewatch This Life, ten years after it was first broadcast (in the build up to the Christmas special).
• The State Within has me glued.
• The X Factor is just about ok now it's past the awful audition stages – but only by fast-forwarding through recordings of the Saturday night shows.
