Dwight Eisenhower – planning and leadership

Dwight Eisenhower photo from Wikipedia

A five-star General who became the 34th President of the United States, Dwight Eisenhower had a thing or two to say about planning and leadership.

“In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.”

“Plans are nothing; planning is everything.”

“You don’t lead by hitting people over the head—that’s assault, not leadership.”

Did you know about Eisenhower's link to Belfast, well, Newtownabbey. Abbeydene House just at the end of the M5 was Eisenhower's HQ on his many visits to the UK during WWII.
