In light of the recent problems over the results of a vote to name Blue Peter's cat, Steve Kelly wrote a letter to the BBC's staff magazine Ariel, including the comment:
"You can just imagine the director general's next staff briefing: 'I announced that we will need further BBC cuts, NOT BBC cats.'"
Tickled my whiskers anyway!
Meanwhile, in the arena of faith output, John Rockley from Radio Gloucestershire wonders whether the BBC is
"broadcasting stories that are based on hearsay and haven't been confirmed by a second source ... Associated Press hasn't been able to support the existence of God, and I've not heard of a BBC correspondent who will step forward to say they have interviewed him?"
