I'd never come across books.google.co.uk until tonight.
It uses Google's usual core capabilities of pattern matching and collating disparate sources together about a subject (or search topic), offering a window onto books, their (table of) contents, reviews and references from other websites.
I stumbled across it since AiB reviews feature in the references lists of various books that I've posted about and I've started to get hits from those webpages.
