Five year old Euromanx who operated flights locally between Belfast City and the Isle of Man has ceased operations today.
With no further flights, Manx2 will be picking up their stranded passengers with tickets on its Belfast route (flying in and out of Belfast City and Belfast International), while Flybe will be squeezing in passengers on routes to Liverpool, Manchester, Luton and Gatwick Transfers onto Manx2 and Flybe are free of charge.
Euromanx's final press release points to difficult economic conditions:
“During this time the employees have worked hard to develop and grow the business but over the last 6 months a number of factors including rising fuel prices and reduced passenger numbers have proved to be insurmountable obstacles to the airline being able to continue to operate.”
