Musical bouncy castle? Outside the Waterfront!

Today, adults and children were being encouraged to go for a bounce outside the Waterfront Hall.

Musical bouncy castle outside Belfast's Waterfront Hall

Imagine hooking a bouncy castle up to a computer and a PA system. And then adapt the music as people change their rhythm of bouncing.

Put together by Andy Best & Merja Puustinen, Empty Stomach 2009 is part of the ISEA (International Symposium on Electronic Art) conference which is being held this week in Belfast.

Well, even if it played a random note every time someone landed, it couldn't have been worse than that gawdawful Prom of Harrison Birtwistle "music". Probably the only composer whose surname was onomatopoeic with his musical style... :-)
