Springtime fun in Lisburn's Castle Gardens

While the completion of the new play area in Lisburn's Wallace Park has now been put back from Christmas to early June and now late June, the council have organised a day of child-friendly entertainment up in Castle Gardens.

Hi Alan,

home in one piece and firing on all cylinders!

Re Wallace Pk, Castle Gdns etc, I suppose you knew the history of Lisburn, founder being Sir Fulke Conway, ancestor of Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace Bt?
Extraordinary, and I'm writing about it very soon.

Yes - we got some of the history at school, being so close to the Wallace's fountains in the park and town centre etc. Though that was a long time ago now!
