Saw you looking measured on 'Hearts and Ms' tonight . Reminded me of time when US + USSR talked about 'peaceful co-existence'....
On radio I think I'd feel freer to jump in with a "that's rubbish", but somehow the TV studio is a lot more staged and polite.
I'm really not sure where the idea that newspapers are particularly trusted comes from.
Newspapers are trusted, news anchors are trusted, the woman or man you know who writes online is trusted ... everyone's trusted until they're found lacking.
If Mike Gilson had been in the studio, it might have been a whole different debate.
