Short-lists out for the 2008 Irish Blog Awards

Irish Blog Awards logo

The 2008 Irish Blog Awards bandwagon continues to roll towards the Alexander Hotel in Dublin on March 1st, with the short-lists announced today.

Alan in Belfast managed to stay in the running for the Best News/Current Affairs Blog category (whittled down from 15 to 9 contenders), but fell short of the mark for other long-listed categories: Best Blog, Best Arts & Culture Blog and Best Personal Blog.

Great to see lots of other local faces shortlisted ... many congratulations to all concerned.

Congrats Alan.

It is good to see so many bloggers from these parts making it to the shortlists.

Yes well done, now if only we knew what the judging criteria were!

I'm voting for you as many times as possible, and not just because of the very kind line from this site.

No public vote this year ... all done by judges reviewing and scoring for 2008.
