In a world where a blog is created every second does the world really need another blog? Well, it's got one.
An irregular set of postings, weaving an intricate pattern around a diverse set of subjects. Comment on culture, technology, politics and the occasional rant about life.

Monster Ginger
The shopping list said "Ginger".
What I didn't realise was that most people break a few sprigs off the big bit in the supermarket, not buy the lot!

I actually thought this was a pile of poop when I first saw the pic.
As noted, it does freeze well. I always put mine into the freezer and when I need it just take it out frozen and grate it and put it back. The amount you have will last forever!

That's a lot of ginger. More than I buy and I use it for cooking Japanese food every other day.
It does freeze quite well though...
I'd probably have done that too.I reckon I'd use a 'bulk buy, better value' excuse if asked why I bought that much :-)
Yeah. That's altogether the kind of thing I do all the time.
I love ginger!!! I usually lift this much myself anyways.
I once bought an artichoke cos I thought it looked great but I hadn't a clue what it was. I thought it was some kind of exotic fruit!
Tell the truth Alan..That is really a pic of your hands folded gently on your lap as you as you tap your foot and humm along to Beethoven's 5th...
