Update - Thu 6 Mar - Victoria Square now open ... and the roof and dome are wonderful from the inside.

On the way into Argos at lunchtime, I was walking up between the Cornmarket digging (they're not trying to build another bandstand are they?) and the fencing keeping the public out of the Victoria Centre building site, I spied the wonderful sight of the roof over the covered walkway in the shopping centre (opening for trade next Spring).

While it's not on the scale of Foster's magnificent roof in the British Museum, it's still pretty impressive.
